The reign of our king

We serve a King that will reign forever. He has been King before there was time and He will be King for eternity. He watches over us and allows us to live our lives freely, but always has his hand ready to protect us from hitting the spikes waiting to impale us. He knows we will fall but we fall on his hand. It may sometimes feel rough and like life is turning on you, but truth be told He is our refuge and fortress and will guide us through those times of loss. Praise be to a King that sacrifices for His Beloved Daily… Amen

Our Friend

Jesus is the ultimate friend. He is always a great listener and an even better hugger. He finds us in our darkest hour and brings us light. He knows how to make us smile when we need it most and he always gives us his love. I need a friend like him in my life, a friend who doesn’t judge me but does discipline me. A friend who can take me places I do not want to go, but because of the comfort I have with him I have no fear to step in that direction. Our awesome and mighty God is so awesome that he can just be our friend. Amen

devotion

There comes a time in our life when we have to choose to be different. The only way we are able to do this is to devote our self to the cause at hand. Whether it is to lose weight or draw nearer to God, if you can complete one of these commitments through steady devotion and loyalty, you can conquer them all with Christ. I have recently lost 54 pounds and have been devoted to my diet because of how awesome I feel. My friend says to me imagine how you would feel if you gave that same devotion to Christ. I had never thought about that until then and even at that moment I didn’t want to let go. The bible says when I was a child I acted and spoke like a child, but when I became a man I must put childish things away. Our choices to not devote our lives to Christ must change and we must trust that He will do what is best for us. We must just have the courage to do the things He places in our way. Let us practice together what it means to be devoted and committed to Christ. Not only will I feel awesome physically but emotionally and spiritually. God will be near and there must be no better feeling on this Earth than feeling His presence around us and within us… Amen!
