This is the time of year that people try and figure out how many gifts they need to give.  I am one of those people, I had my list and went through it person by person.  Then as I sat today thinking about Christmas, I thought it is great to give gifts because of the reaction you get when people open the gift you got them.  Then I realized that the World has twisted the true meaning of this season.  This is the time to celebrate what Christ gave us, which was his birth into this world so that we would always be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.  We rarely focus on this part of Christmas except for the service we may attend on Christmas eve or Christmas day.  The giving we should be doing is that of our souls, to people in our lives who need more than a gift to make them smile.  They may need a hello, a hug, a letter, just something to show that they are worth more than what they can ever imagine.
