We never really stop and think about this one.  I mean we hear it as we grow up in church or as soon as we become a Christian.  We know that Christ is with us in all we do and we live our life as it comes.  Now, when you really stop to think about this, God With Us, it means he is there in everything.  When we are happy,sad, hurt,sinning and suffering.  The reason is he has suffered the eternal suffering for us and so he can be with us, even in our most terrible suffering.  He understands and wants to be a part of our healing.  Ultimately this world will throw all the evil it can at us, but with Christ we are able to endure what he allows us to.  He will be with us through it.  If we could live our life like this, we would realize the importance of our life in the lives of others.  We need a sense of urgency so that no one is left behind.  We must learn and allow God to love on us and we return that same love back, or make the attempt.  Allowing our God to pour into us will allow the love we have in us to overflow to those we care about and for those who do not know us, they will sense like they want what we have.  God wired them the same way to desire him.  He did not want puppets, he wanted children that could grow into priest of the Most High.  Jesus’ sacrifice was so that he could be with us here on Earth and in Heaven for eternity.  I know life throws some vicious situations at us in life, but God is With Us, that is not only his promise but also his name ” Immanuel”.
