The rise of Our King
Jesus knew from before man was created that he would have to come and sacrifice his life for us. He knew he was going to give up His Godly right hand position to God and come to Earth. He had wisdom though, enough to know that He needed the Holy Spirit with him on Earth to complete his task. This allowed us to see that we also cannot do it alone. As he lived his life here on Earth, he went from town to town preaching the good news and healing and helping others. He came to know those around him intimately and called for them to do the same with others in their lives. I love that Jesus comes into town for the cross on a Donkey. He basically is stating in his humbleness I am allowing you to bring me in because this day must happen. In those hours of his agony and hell on the cross he comes to submission and screams out why has God forsaken me. He in that moment doesn’t call God his father, He is completely broken and only knows with all the sin, pain and burdens of the creation of man on him, That God has turned his back on His only begotten son. Now it is in this moment that we see the rise of our King, for the three days he was laid to rest He completed his task and journey, preaching the gospel to those in Hell and just confirming for Satan and his demons that it was on. The King had come and sacrificed all, defeated death and in his resurrection, freed all of his children for eternity. They simply now had to make the choice to believe. The Rise of Our King is a moment that no other religion can share and it was done to show the righteousness and grace and sovereignty of God. Thank you Lord for carrying my burdens and forgiving me my sin because you are SO SO GOOD! Amen…
