The New year
One of the best things about a New Year is that it means we are one step closer to His return. This year has so many people freaking out already, trying to figure out if this is it. People are looking at a Calendar made by an ancient civilization and screaming and yelling that this is the end. God makes it perfectly clear in the Bible, regardless of the hour and day that His return comes we need to live our life for him. If we focus more on living for him and helping and loving others, the time and day of His return is a joyous thing. I see all these shows on TV saying this and that, but none letting us know that we need to take care of our fellow man. Take this new year to mean something different for you, don’t make resolutions make statements of faith and ask those dearest to your heart to hold you accountable. Do not just make this a year to lose weight or stop smoking, make this a year to stand rooted in Christ. If you do not know Jesus, take this opportunity to give him a chance. I mean in all honesty what do you have to lose by just giving Jesus a chance. Take in that he sacrificed his life so that you would not have to carry the burden of your own cross. My new year Statement of Faith is to remember moment by moment that Jesus Christ is real and not just some God we hope to be there and pray too. I want my life and my choices to curve to his influence and I want to hear clearly that sweet still and quiet voice as Jesus counsels me through life to help people mend their hearts and brokenness back to health. May your New Year bring healing and joy into your life… AMEN…
