Well for most of my adult life I have chosen the steps I have wanted to take.  Then I would be like “Hey God wanna come a long for the ride?” Being the God that he is, he did.  I can think of so many times where I had the strong belief that I was in control.  Come to find out that control thing is an illusion.  Then I come to some scripture that basically says pray for what you desire and I will give it to you, then there is another that says knock and I will answer.  These two things have hit me hard.  The first one I went to God with, and no i didn’t ask to win lotto :), rather I asked him to just open one door and allow for me to be alert to its opening and his voice guiding me there.  The second one I took into my heart and said Lord, here are some things I have always wanted to pursue… I am going to knock on these doors and wait patiently for you to open one.  Here is where I am in life, realizing that my comfort zone is not very comfortable, but its more of an illusion.  Gods plan is so much greater for us and for who he has us to meet.  My prayer is that we would stop bringing God along for the ride and instead we would let him lead the way.  You know its going to be scary and uncertain, because we are human, but Ultimately as God says in Isaiah 40:31 ” but those who hope in the Lord, will renew their Strength!”  This is where we have to learn to live, in our Hope which as I heard from a friend is our Faith in Action…  AMEN!
