Well, I was hanging out with some friends tonight and we were relaxing outside by a fire. I have always enjoyed playing with fire since I was little. Yes of course that is a whole other story. However, back to tonight and the deep theological statement that was made by my close friend @redroomstudio. I was holding a branch with some leaves over the fire and my hand was really close. They said they couldn’t believe how I was not getting burned and I simple said you can really play close to the fire, you don’t really get burned until your in it. He said tell the devil that… Think about it, we play with fire all the time in our life and we get as close to it as we possibly can, with the hopes that we know what close enough is. This is not always the case and sometimes, without realizing we end up in the same fire we were playing with. Tonight was an awesome night to relax with friends, but an even greater one for me and God. I see how I play with fire all the time in my life, through decisions I make or thoughts I pursue. I am always just close enough to the fire to feel the warmth, but sometimes when I get to comfortable I end up getting burned. Most of us live our life chasing a fire, a fire that will burn us for sure. However, there is nothing wrong with chasing a fire, especially the fire of the Holy Spirit, you see unlike the fire of our sin that burns us, the fire of Christ CONSUMES us. We do not get burned rather we are engulfed with the power of the Holy Spirit. Stop and take a look at your life and see which fire your playing with, the one that burns you when you play too close, or the one that Consumes you and allows Christ and his warm love to shine through you… Stop Playing with fire and allow the Holy Spirit and Christ consume all of you and your life… Amen!!!
