As simple as a rainbow
Our world is filled with stories of chaos and sadness. It seems that around every corner we turn with anticipation for the worse. The virus has stormed the world but our souls are being stretched and torn as men believe within them self to be wise. Where is God? and Why isn’t He doing anything? We hear these questions a lot but forget to realize that many who ask that question do not pursue a relationship with God. Yes we want to know why God let that happen and we do not take into account that our actions put us in that situation. It does not take away from the tragedies we are seeing unfold and the pain that is happening but the hope is that we can turn to Christ in these moments.
It is very true when King Solomon says “there is nothing new under the sun.” We are experiencing a tearing up of society and what it means to be inhuman. We take into account what freedoms we have and who we want to win. We look at the words and actions and decided whether we will choose one or the other based on our choice. We can freely make choices even if we only agree with one thing that a person does versus the hundreds of other things that they don’t. And then there are the simple minded, as some like to call them. The ones who spend everyday looking to the sky awaiting Jesus’ return. The ones who know that the Rainbow was a promise from God and, in turn, make that their promise to follow and love God. Many of these simple minded people have been ridiculed and abused for most if not all of their life, yet still the pursue Gods love.
When will we realize in our complex minds that pursuing God’s love is what we are missing. I don’t say this to sound churchy because believe me if you look around the World today, those that pursue God’s love are murdered for it. When we make a stand for who Christ is and what his purpose is it will go beyond the rights and wrongs of a nation. When we read the bible we know that this Earth of ours will fall and we are living in a time when maybe we are seeing the start of it. Who knows?
The one thing I do know is we need to live that Christ is in us!!! Wait!! The Holy Spirit is in us so again we must realize the truth of the cross and the depth of our sanctification. You see it is not that we cannot sin, rather we should choose not to sin because of our relationship with the Holy Spirit. When He becomes real to you and you decide to make that your truth then you will start to see the change.
However, this change does not come with a simple belief that the Holy Spirit is in you. No, you must stay in God’s word and pray for transformation and the renewing of your mind. It is a combination of these things that will help you and guide you to seeing what Christ is calling for you to do. Simply placing memes or quotes about something you feel strongly about is worthless in this day of social media. Instead, ask God to place people in your life that you can share the Love of God with. Allow the Holy Spirit to do His will so that you may see him bring another to Christ or maybe just maybe add a friend to your crown of life.
One Love, One King, All Christ!
